Hisar: Three men allegedly molested two junior resident doctors walking to their hostel after a 12-hour shift, stalked them and issued death threats at Maharaja Agrasen Medical College in Agroha town of Haryana’s Hisar district.
Agrasen’s doctors have warned of an agitation from Tuesday if the accused are not arrested soon, voicing frustration that they are not safe in spite of assurances from courts and govt about security in the wake of the Kolkata horror.
According to a complaint to the police by one of the doctors, she was walking back to her hostel with her colleague at 11 pm on Aug 23 when the three men on a scooter made passes at them near the emergency department.
“We tried to ignore them but they followed us. When we questioned them, they hurled abuses and threatened to kill us. Scared, we rushed to reach the hostel as soon as possible,” the doctor said in her complaint. The trio came back again and passed comments. “When we alerted the guard, they escaped from the main gate of the campus,” the doctor said. Police have filed a case under sections of BNS.
