Faridabad: Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, has announced the launch of its first Centre of Excellence for CAR T-Cell Therapy in the NCR, aimed at providing cutting-edge treatment for blood cancers such as B-cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas and Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Medical Director at Amrita Hospital, stated, “From traditional treatment options to stem cell transplants and now CAR-T therapies, our team has been at the forefront of this advancement. The experience we’ve gained so far has positioned us as a leader in this domain.”
Dr. Prashant Mehta, Senior Oncologist, emphasised, “The launch of this center will streamline CAR T-cell therapy implementation, enabling durable remissions for more patients across Northern India.”
According to the hospital, since the approval of NexCAR19 by the CDSCO in October 2023, over 100 patients have undergone this therapy, with some patients achieving remission for over two years, showcasing the therapy’s potential for long-term success.
