West Bengal Minister Udayan Guha sparked controversy after he warned that the state government will identify the people and break the fingers of those who were “abusing” Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on social media over the trainee doctor’s rape and murder at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. He also drew a comparison between the protests in Kolkata over the incident with the unrest in Bangladesh following Sheikh Hasina’s ouster.
