Hollywood star Brad Pitt recently opened up about his career in a new interview. He also spoke about his retirement rumours.
Speaking to GQ, Brad Pitt said, “I meant that as seasons (about retiring). You know, there was moving out from the safety of the Ozarks. You embark on this thing, and it’s all about discovery, and it’s really exciting and interesting and painful and awful and all of it. And then, when you’re allowed into the big leagues, it becomes another game of responsibilities and things to answer to. But also opportunity and delight and working with people you really respect. And then it’s this time now. It’s: What are these last years going to be? Because I see my parents are very— In your 80s, the body becomes more frail.”
The interview also featured Hollywood star George Clooney, who happens to be a close collaborator of Pitt, in terms of acting and production. When asked if they really are good friends, Clooney said, “Yeah, man, we’re friends. We’ve been friends for a long time. And it’s fun because we also check in on each other every once in a while, which is an important part of this. Things get complicated in life and you always have to make sure everybody’s okay.”
Pitt added, “George (Clooney) is probably the best at understanding, seeing the chessboard and the potential moves. I’ll call George on numerous occasions when things get bumpy.”
The actors will soon be seen in the upcoming comedy-actioner, Wolfs.
