New Delhi: Having traversed a long arc of evolution from the times as hunter gatherers to agriculturally driven settled species suggest that the quest to identify right dietary choices that support long-term well-being has been in place ever since humankind came into existence and with nutrition and wellness experts continually exploring-pondering upon different combinations capable of rolling with the punches of developing environmental challenges, coupled with the emergence of innovations like nutraceuticals and probiotics this pursuit is likely to continue further in a more complex and critical form. But just to encapsulate this ongoing journey one can turn to a 20th century nutritionist who championed raw foods and wheatgrass therapy ‘Ann Wigmore,’ who said that “The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison”.
