The third edition of the Regional Industry Conclave (RIC), which is being organised to attract investments in Madhya Pradesh, is scheduled to be held in Gwalior on Wednesday. According to sources, this conclave may be more successful than the previous ones held in Ujjain and Jabalpur, as the Gwalior-Chambal region is better connected to other parts of the country.

The event will be attended by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and many industrialists from across the country. According to officials, trade commissioners of several countries and top officials of the Adani Group and Accenture will also be present. Adani Defence may announce an investment in the defence sector.

Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) Managing Director Chandramouli Shukla told Business Standard that, during this conclave, Chief Minister Yadav will again make virtual land allocations for industrial units. According to another official, as in previous events, the focus will be on job creation. It is estimated that around 28,000 to 30,000 direct and indirect new jobs will result from the investments announced at this event.

The geographical location of Gwalior can play an important role in the success of this conclave. Three major corridors of the country pass directly through the Gwalior region. These are the North-South Corridor from Srinagar to Kanyakumari, the Agra-Mumbai Highway, and the East-West Corridor from Silchar to Porbandar.
