T’puram: The health department has invited applications from healthcare workers interested in volunteering during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season. The volunteers will be deployed at hospitals like Konni Medical College, Pathanamthitta General Hospital, Pamba, and Sannidhanam, as well as health centres at Nilackal, Neelimala, Appachimedu, Charalmedu, and Erumely.
The opportunity is extended to those who have retired from the health department. Interested individuals must submit their applications, including documents, to dhssabarimala@gmail.com by Nov 11. In addition to health department staff, specialist cardiologists and physicians from medical colleges will be appointed at various health centres. This is in addition to the services of experienced healthcare workers.
For the ensuing pilgrimage season, Konni Medical College will function as a base hospital. Emergency cardiology and cath lab treatments will be available at Pathanamthitta General Hospital. tnn
