Jemimah Rodrigues shared a picture on her Instagram handle where she can be seen donning the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) jersey before the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) 2024. Jemimah is a part of a team that also includes Shikha Pandey, Meg Lanning and Jess Jonassen along with TKR skipper Deandra Dottin.
Jemimah left for the West Indies on Sunday and also shared a selfie with Shikha and Jhulan Goswami, the mentor of the Knight Riders women’s team. The trio reached the Caribbean on Monday after Jemimah shared a picture with the caption, “Jet lagged but here we go.”

Jemimah Rodrigues set to play vital role
Although it would be her maiden stint in the WCPL, Jemimah has the experience of playing in franchise leagues. She played a crucial part for the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), where they finished as the runners-up both times in 2023 and 2024.
Jemimah also played some handy knocks for the Northern Superchargers in the Hundred Women’s competition in England, although she did not take part this year. Since making her debut as a teenager, Jemimah has grown by leaps and bounds in her career.
“This is the first time I’ll be coming to the WCPL. I’ve played for India in the Caribbean quite a bit, but I’m really excited that I’ll be representing the Knight Riders in WCPL. We all know the legacy that they have across the globe,” Jemimah had said after being picked by TKR.
Jemimah is likely to be seen in action when the Knight Riders lock horns with Barbados Royals on Thursday, August 22 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. TKR had a disastrous campaign last year after finishing at the bottom of the table with two points and a net run rate of -2.294.
