Ravindra, originally from Chintamani in Kolar district, had settled in Bengaluru’s Chennasandra. He operated a convent school in the city and had recently joined the Congress party, where he served as a member of its campaign committee.
Ravindra, a Karnataka Congress worker and president of the Kuruba Sangha from Kolar district, collapsed and died after suffering a heart attack. The incident took place during a live press conference at the Press Club in Bengaluru on Monday.
He was speaking about a recent prosecution notice issued by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah regarding the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam.
While addressing the media, Ravindra suddenly collapsed from his chair. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Doctors confirmed he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Ravindra was clutching the microphone tightly when the incident happened. As his phone fell, he suddenly trembled and lost balance, falling from his seat.
