Another hit-and-run incident came to light in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon after a speeding car rammed into a woman while she was crossing the road. The car first struck a motorcycle and then the woman pedestrian, causing her to be flung into the air.
Occupants of the car were young men who tried to flee the scene, but their attempt was thwarted by the locals. Several people from the village tried to stop the speeding car by blocking the road with bullock carts. Realising the situation, the youths tried to reverse the car in a hurry, causing it to overturn.
The woman and five occupants of the car are currently in hospital undergoing treatment for their severe injuries. A case has been registered against all five occupants of the car.
