Former TMC MP and actor Mimi Chakraborty took part in the protest march organised by women over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata on Wednesday night.

Speaking exclusively to India Today TV, she said, “Yesterday I was on the streets with my sisters and brothers in Kolkata and what we want is justice, and justice should be served as soon as possible.”

She further said that while the people were protesting silenting, some goons came from somewhere and started hitting the police in the wee hours of Thursday.

“This is not what Kolkata has ever seen, and I cannot stand for it,” she said.

Talking about the accused in the case, she said, “I want him to be hanged till death and this should be done in a fast-tracked way.”
