Veteran actor Mohanlal has been admitted to a hospital in Kochi due to symptoms including high-grade fever, breathing difficulties, and muscle pain. According to an official medical statement, the actor is suspected to have a viral respiratory infection.
Additionally, the 64-year-old actor has been advised to avoid public interactions for five days and follow a prescribed medication regimen. The hospital’s official statement was shared by industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.
After finishing the shoots for ‘L2: Empuraan’and the post-production of his directorial debut ‘Barroz’, Mohanlal returned to Kochi, where his condition worsened. Fortunately, recent medical reports show that he is now recovering well under observation.
‘Barroz’ film will be released on October 2, towards the beginning of the nine-day Navratri festival this year. It marks the directorial debut of the actor, popularly known as Lalettan by the fans. The movie was initially slated for release on March 28, 2024. However, the film’s team decided to postpone the release citing post-production delays.
Earlier this year, Mohanlal and other members of the team were sent a legal notice by a German-based Malayali writer, alleging copyright infringement. The film’s team never addressed the allegations in the media.
