Indian team captain Rohit Sharma is spending his time off cricket alongside his family and friends in Mumbai. He shared pictures of his catch-up with his closest friends on his social media handle. It was more like training buddies as Rohit and his friends, including Team India’s assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, were in training gear. Rohit was spotted wearing a neon green-coloured T-shirt with running shoes. He captioned the post “Mandali” on his Instagram, which means a group of friends.
Rohit opted to unwind and rejuvenate after a hectic season came to an end which saw India lift the T20 World Cup under his captaincy. The 36-year-old is gearing up for the much-awaited home series, where India will host Bangladesh and New Zealand before heading to Australia for the Border Gavaskar Trophy by the end of the year. Rohit is not only trying to keep himself fit, but also making sure to spend quality time with his friends. Abhishek Nayar has been one of the oldest friends of Rohit from their domestic cricket days in Mumbai.

Rohit-Virat to take part in Duleep Trophy?
Senior batters Rohit and Virat Kohli might get an exemption and might get to choose if they want to participate in the Duleep Trophy. Many India regulars, barring pacer Jasprit Bumrah and R Ashwin will appear in the first round of the tournament. India are slated to play two Test matches against Bangladesh – from September 19 at Chennai and from September 27 at Kanpur.
While it is up to Rohit and Kohli to play in the event, some other prominent players such as Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer Kuldeep Yadav etc are expected to be available for this tournament fully or partially.
However, Bumrah and Ashwin are unlikely to take part in the tournament at any stage as they are expected to join the India squad directly ahead of the Bangladesh series.
