Malayalam superstar Mohanlal was discharged from a private hospital in Kochi on August 18. Sources close to the actor confirmed that the actor has recovered and has resumed work. The actor is currently in Kochi Marriott Hotel where he has been rehearsing for the AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) award show, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow, August 20.
The film body shared a video of actor Mohanlal entering the plush hotel and greeting everyone after getting discharged from the hospital.

According to a health bulletin from the hospital on August 16, Mohanlal complained of a high fever and difficulty in breathing. He was advised to take medicine and complete rest for a few days.
The bulletin read, “This is to certify that I have examined Mr Mohanlal, 64 years old male, MRD No. 1198168, he is having complaints of High grade fever, Breathing difficulty and generalised myalgia. He is suspected to have viral respiratory infection. He has been advised to take medications with 5 days rest and to avoid crowded places (sic).”

The AMMA award show will feature many performances from actors, directors and technicians.
On the work front, Mohanlal is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, ‘Barroz’, which marks his directorial debut. The film will release in theatres on October 2.
‘Barroz’ landed in trouble after the team received a legal notice from a German-based Malayali writer, alleging copyright infringement.
