Motorola launched the Moto G85 (review) in India last month, and before that, it debuted the Moto G64, which was launched in April this year. The company is now releasing another G-series smartphone. In a teaser shared by Motorola, it confirmed the launch of the new Moto G45 5G smartphone on August 21. Ahead of the launch, a bunch of details about the smartphone have already been revealed. Moto G45 5G expected price in India
The Moto G45 succeeds the Moto G44 5G that was launched last year. The smartphone was priced under Rs 20,000 with its price starting at Rs 18,999. This time, however, its successor –– the Moto G45 –– is expected to be priced lower. Reports suggest that the Moto G45 will be priced starting Rs 15,000 in India. This is speculation and the final price will only be known once the device is launched in India tomorrow, August 21.
Moto G45 5G confirmed specifications and features
The Moto G45 5G is set to maintain the G series’ popular design, featuring a sleek vegan leather finish that adds a premium feel, similar to its predecessor, the Moto G85. The smartphone teasers confirm that it will feature a boxy shape with rounded edges and a metallic frame that matches the phone’s colour. It will be available in three colours — Sea Green, Deep Blue, and Red — the Moto G45 5G is designed to stand out.
The device is confirmed to sport a 6.5-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a punch-hole design, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen3 chipset paired with 8GB RAM, and will run on Android 14. The phone also includes Smart Connect and Family Space features, enhancing its user experience.
For photography, the Moto G45 5G is confirmed to feature a 50-megapixel quad-pixel primary camera, along with a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The camera system includes features like Image Auto Enhance, Macro Vision, and Auto Night Vision.
Finally, the Moto G45 5G will also come with a 5,000mAh battery, supporting Turbopower fast charging, with the charger likely included in the retail package.
