The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will open the choice-filling window for the first round of NEET UG 2024 counselling today, August 16. Candidates registered for the 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats can fill in their choices on the official website, mcc.nic.in, until 11:55 pm on August 20.

Applicants must confirm and lock their college preferences between 4 pm and 11:55 pm on the same day, August 20.

Applicants can fill in as many choices as they wish, but the MCC has emphasised that choices should be listed in order of preference, as seat allotment will be based on the selections submitted by qualified candidates.

The MCC has also recommended that medical aspirants download the ‘Sandes’ app to receive timely updates on NEET UG counselling.

MCC NEET UG COUNSELLING 2024: STEPS TO FILL CHOICES

Here is the step-by-step guide to doing the choice-filling process for NEET UG Counselling 2024

1. Visit the official website at mcc.nic.in
2. Login using your NEET UG Roll number and password
3. Select your preferred subjects and institutions in the desired order
4. Lock your choices and submit them

The seat allotment result for round 1 will be announced on August 23. Candidates must report to their allotted institutes between August 24 and 29.

This year, MCC will conduct NEET UG counselling for AIQ seats in four rounds: AIQ round 1, round 2, round 3, and an online stray vacancy round. Registration for round 2 of NEET UG counselling will open on September 5 and will remain open until 12 noon on September 10.
