Sachin Tanwar became the costliest player on Day 1 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 auction on August 15, Thursday as he bagged 2.15 Cr, while Pardeep Narwal will be a part of the Bengaluru Bulls in the next season. Pawan Sehrawat rejoined the Telugu Titans while Mohammadreza Shadloui was bought by Haryana Steelers for 2.07 crore. There were 8 players who went past the 1 crore mark on Thursday as the teams were engaged in big bidding wars for the players.

There were only 4 players who went unsold on the day, with Vishal Bhardwaj being a big name who couldn’t get a new team. The proceedings started on the day with Shadloui seeing 6 teams bid for his services and Steelers piping Gujarat for the Iranian defender. The experienced Fazel Atrachali went to Bengal Warriorz, while Pawan was being courted by his former side, Bengaluru Bulls. But the Titans used the FBM in the end to get him back for 1.725 crore.

PKL Auction 2024, Day 1: Highlights

Sunil Kumar went to U Mumba after a bit of a bidding war and the second phase started with Sachin Tanwar going for 2.15 to the Thalaivas. This was followed by Guman Singh going to the Gujarat Giabts for 1.97 crore.

Ajinkya Pawar was the one that got another bidding war going as Bengaluru and Mumbai went at it for him. In the end, Bengaluru won the battle and they added Pardeep Narwal to the mix. The day ended with U Mumba securing Manjeet.
