Pawan Sehrawat will be heading back to Telugu Titans for season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League for 1.725 crore while Mohammadreza Shadloui went for a whopping 2.07 crore to the haryana Steelers on Day 1 of the auction on Thursday, August 15. Pawan was the subject of an intense bidding war between U Mumba and Bengaluru Bulls, but it was Telugu Titans who used their FBM card to get back the main man.

Titans didn’t have the best of campaigns last season as they finished last on the table. However, they decided to stick with Pawan for another season. The High-flyer of PKL was the third person who came to the auction table on the day and straight up, it was U Mumba who opened the bidding. Pawan’s old team, Bengaluru Bulls, would come in and raised the bid all the way to 70 lakhs and the bidding quickly crossed the 1 crore mark.

The bidding soon became a bit more calculated after 1.5 crore mark for the all-rounder, but U Mumba thought they had beaten the competition. That is when the FBM card was used on the all-rounder.

Shadloui wanted man at 2.07 crore

Mohammadreza Shadloui was a wanted man at the auction on Thursday as the bidding for the Iranian saw 6 teams come in for him. It all started with the Patna Pirates and the Telugu Titans as he was the first name out of the bag. Soon, UP Yoddhas came in and raised the bidding. It seemed like a fight between Yoddhas and Pirates when U Mumba entered the fray before the Gujarat Giants also came in. Things would then become a straight shootout between Giants and U Mumba as the price reached 1.8 crore.

This is when the Steelers came in as U Mumba decided to exit the race. The price was quickly raised beyond the 2 crore mark and it was the Steelers who got their man in the end. Puneri Paltan couldn’t exercise their FBM card on Shadloui as they only had 2.05 crore left.
