Kanpur: Purwameer Ayushman Arogya Mandir was recently awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certification for delivering superior services and public amenities. Presently, five Arogya Mandirs in the district have secured the national-level certification.
Chief medical officer Alok Ranjan said that the Ayushman Arogya Mandir provides numerous primary health services to citizens without charges. The Uttar Pradesh government prioritises the enhancement of health services, he said, adding that efforts were underway to upgrade the services and facilities across all Ayushman Arogya temples in the district to meet the national standards.
Considering ‘Arogya Parama Dhanam’, accessibility to enhanced health services is expanding through Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, he said. The CMO elaborated that all operational Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in the district provide primary healthcare facilities. These centres conduct disease screening, offer medical consultations and medicines through tele-consultation, provided maternal and child health examination facilities, screened non-communicable diseases and implemented communicable disease prevention measures, he added.
“These centres serve a vital function in community healthcare, and their NQAS certification ensures service quality,” he affirmed. Quality assurance Arif Beg explained that Ayushman Arogya Mandirs were certified according to seven govt of India standards: Care in pregnancy and child birth, neonatal and infant health services, childhood and adolescent health services, family planning, management of communicable diseases, management of simple illnesses including minor elements and management of non-communicable diseases.
