Nagpur: Divisional Railway Hospital (DRH), Nagpur, inaugurated a dedicated Retired Employees Liberalised Health Scheme (RELHS) Outpatient Department (OPD) for senior citizens. The facility was inaugurated by .

Anneamma George, chief nursing superintendent. The ceremony was graced by DRM Manish Agarwal, ADRM P Khairkar, and Dr GS Manjunatha, chief medical superintendent (CMS), Nagpur, alongside other senior officials and medical staff.

The RELHS OPD is specifically designed to enhance healthcare for retired railway employees, offering a senior-friendly environment with reduced waiting times and improved patient experience. This facility highlights the Nagpur Division’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of its retirees.

In addition to the new OPD, DRH Nagpur has strengthened its medical services with two state-of-the-art devices. A Transcutaneous Bilirubinometer has been introduced for neonatal care, allowing non-invasive and efficient screening of newborns for hyperbilirubinemia.

The hospital also unveiled a cutting-edge intraoperative imaging device for orthopaedic and urology surgeries. Equipped with dual 19-inch monitors and advanced imaging features, this device ensures precision with minimal radiation exposure, further elevating the quality of surgical care.

During the event, DRM Agarwal praised the medical department’s efforts to modernise healthcare services and acknowledged the dedication of the hospital staff in making these advancements possible.
