A security guard was stabbed to death in a road rage case that unfolded in Central Delhi’s Karol Bagh area, police said on Sunday.
According to police, a person riding a scooter was stabbed to death in a road rage incident in Karol Bagh’s Regar Pura locality. After the stabbing, the accused fled the spot.
“The police control room first received information about the stabbing at around 12 o’clock on Saturday night. Immediately after receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and took the injured victim Manoj Sharma to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment”, police said.
As per the information, the Delhi Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) including murder.
Manoj Sharma worked as a security guard and at around midnight on Saturday, he was going to an eatery to have food, riding his scooter.
When Manoj Sharma reached Regar Pura area, his scooter touched a person. Both of them got into an argument over this, following which the accused stabbed the victim and fled the spot.
According to police sources, the accused has been identified, and the police team is continuously raiding different areas to arrest him.
