Pop icon Taylor Swift met with families of children injured in the Southport stabbings last month. She invited them backstage during one of her five-night shows at Wembley Stadium.

As reported by Variety, one of the mothers shared a TikTok video featuring a carousel of photos from her girls, Hope and Autumn’s backstage visit with Taylor Swift. In the caption, she expressed gratitude to the ‘Karma’ singer for creating a ‘most magical night possible’ for her daughters and thanked her for bringing ‘pure happiness’ to their lives.

The unfortunate incident happened at a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga class on July 29, targeting several young girls. Three innocent children lost their lives: six-year-old Bebe King, seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar. Six other children sustained critical injuries.

Taylor Swift expressed her concern and said that she was ‘completely in shock’ after learning about the death. “These were just little kids at a dance class,” Swift said in an Instagram story. “I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families (sic),” the 34-year-old singer wrote.

She continued, “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock. The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders (sic).”

Taylor is currently wrapping up the European leg of her Eras Tour.
