A video of Virat Kohli’s lookalike visiting the cricketer’s own restaurant, one8 Commune, has gone viral on social media, leaving patrons and onlookers confused as they mistook him for the real Kohli.
The video, shared by content created Sarthak Sachdeva on Instagram, featured Kartik Sharma, a lookalike of Virat Kohli, during his visit to the one8 Commune.
The clip documented their entire visit, from their arrival at the restaurant to their departure after a meal.
The video began with both Sachdeva and Sharma introducing their plans to enter the restaurant. As soon as Kohli’s lookalike walked in, people inside started to gather around, some checking their phones, perhaps hoping for a chance to click a selfie.
Sachdeva and Sharma enjoyed their meal, and while leaving, Sachdeva humorously enquired of a restaurant staff member whether the bill would be waived, given that the “brand ambassador” himself had dined there.
Upon hearing Sachdeva, the staff member looked at him and quickly exited the conversation, seemingly realising that it was all in jest.
“Viraj tohli,” the caption of the post reads.

The video, since being posted on August 14, has clocked over four million views so far.
Instagram users took no time to react to the video. One of the users said, “Same same but different.”
“Virat Kohli downloaded 50 per cent,” another user said.
However, there were several users who noticed even minute details and wondered how people there did not notice any one of those details.
“Kisi staff ne Virat ki tattoo nahi dekhi kya kabhi (Has none of the staff members ever seen Virat’s tattoo?),” a user said.
Another user noted, “Virat Kohli Swift se aaya hail (Virat Kohli arrived at the restaurant in Swift).”
Kartik Sharma, a software engineer by profession, has a following of 7,60,000 users on Instagram, due to his striking resemblance to Virat Kohli.
